About the Role

As a Senior Trust Officer at Kestra Financial in Wilmington, Delaware, you'll manage a diverse portfolio of trust accounts including Special Needs Trusts and discretionary accounts. You'll be responsible for comprehensive trust administration, maintaining compliance with trust instruments and applicable law, and serving as a trusted advisor to both beneficiaries and the financial professionals who partner with them.

What You'll Do

• Oversee administration of Special Needs Trust accounts and other discretionary trust types, ensuring full compliance and proper documentation
• Monitor distributions, investments, and account activities according to trust terms and beneficiary requirements
• Build and maintain direct relationships with trust beneficiaries and coordinate with referring financial advisors to ensure satisfaction and alignment on trust objectives
• Review and approve trust transactions, prepare trust accountings, and manage tax-related documentation
• Delegate responsibilities to junior trust professionals and administrative staff, providing training and guidance
• Address beneficiary inquiries, manage correspondence, and resolve trust administration questions
• Ensure all trust activities meet regulatory requirements and company standards

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience administering trust accounts, particularly Special Needs Trusts or other specialized account categories
• Strong knowledge of trust law, fiduciary responsibilities, and trust administration practices
• Excellent client service skills and ability to work effectively with beneficiaries and financial professionals
