About the Role
Ryder System is seeking an experienced Class A CDL truck driver for full-time solo driving. You'll operate our commercial fleet, transporting freight safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety.
What You'll Do
- Operate a Class A commercial truck to transport cargo safely and on schedule
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Follow all Department of Transportation regulations and safety protocols
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and deliver excellent customer service
- Maintain delivery schedules while prioritizing vehicle and road safety
- Document and report any maintenance or mechanical issues promptly
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License with a clean driving record
- Proven professional driving experience with strong safety practices
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance requirements
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to schedule adherence
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as a solo driver
