Position Summary

The Sr. Dealer/ Treasury Sales- Iraq professional at Bank of Jordan in Baghdad, Baghdad Governorate, Iraq will act as the primary interface between corporate and institutional clients and the bank’s treasury products suite. You will combine deep market knowledge with relationship-driven sales skills to identify client needs, deliver tailored pricing and recommendations, and execute transactions while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and risk control. The position demands close coordination with internal trading, risk and operations teams to ensure seamless service and timely settlement across foreign-exchange, money-market and related instruments relevant to the Iraqi market.

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture long-term relationships with corporate and institutional clients seeking treasury solutions in Baghdad and the wider Baghdad Governorate.
• Originate and close sales of foreign-exchange, deposits, fixed-income and derivative products aligned with client risk profiles and market conditions.
• Monitor real-time market movements, prepare pricing proposals and provide timely market intelligence and hedging advice to clients.
• Execute client orders accurately and efficiently while adhering to bank policies, regulatory requirements and internal risk limits.
• Collaborate daily with dealing desks, credit and operations colleagues to ensure smooth trade lifecycle management and issue resolution.
• Conduct regular portfolio reviews, identify cross-selling opportunities and contribute to new-product development initiatives.
• Maintain comprehensive pipeline records, produce sales reports and support management with forecasts for the treasury sales franchise in Iraq.
• Stay current with Iraqi financial-market regulations, central-bank circulars and international best practices governing treasury activities.

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record in treasury sales, foreign-exchange dealing or related money-market roles within a banking environment.
• Solid understanding of FX spot, forwards, swaps, deposits and basic structured products suitable for corporate clients.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting economic data, interest-rate differentials and currency trends affecting the Iraqi market.
• Excellent client-communication abilities in both English and Arabic, with confidence presenting complex product ideas clearly.
• Demonstrated discipline in compliance, documentation standards and risk-aware decision-making under pressure.
• University degree in finance, economics, business or a related discipline; professional treasury certifications are advantageous.
• Willingness to work full-time on-site in Baghdad, Baghdad Governorate, Iraq to maintain direct client and market contact.
