About the Role
We're building a dedicated therapy team at a leading skilled nursing facility in the Kalamazoo area. As a Travel Physical Therapy Assistant, you'll be central to delivering high-quality patient care, supporting licensed physical therapists, and helping residents achieve their rehabilitation goals. This position offers the flexibility and variety that travel therapy professionals seek, with a clear timeline and full-time hours.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities
- Document patient progress and treatment sessions accurately
- Educate patients and families on exercises and recovery strategies
- Help maintain a safe, clean therapy environment
- Support patients with activities of daily living as needed
What We're Looking For
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant certification or licensure in Michigan (or eligible for compact license)
- Minimum 1+ years of clinical experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
