About the Role
As a Travel PCU RN with Synergy Medical Staffing, you'll join a Progressive Care Unit team in Aspen, Colorado, caring for patients who need a higher level of monitoring than a general floor but who are not yet critical. This is a full-time travel position covering 12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:00), scheduled at three shifts per week for a total of 36 hours weekly. The contract runs 13 weeks beginning July 13, 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled, patient-centered nursing care to progressive care patients during 12-hour overnight shifts.
- Continuously assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient status on the PCU.
- Administer medications and treatments while documenting care accurately and completely.
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the broader care team to coordinate safe transitions of care.
- Uphold facility policies, safety standards, and the scope of practice for a registered nurse in Colorado.
Qualifications
- Active RN (Registered Nurse) licensure valid for practice in Colorado.
- Demonstrated experience in a PCU / Progressive Care Unit setting.
- Comfort and reliability working 12-hour night shifts.
- Flexibility and adaptability suited to a 13-week travel nursing contract.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a team-first approach.
