About the Role
Join our operating room team for a focused assignment that concludes on November 19, 2025. Working three 12-hour shifts per week, you'll deliver direct surgical patient care in a collaborative, fast-paced OR environment. This role is ideal for travel nurses seeking specialized operating room experience while maintaining a manageable schedule.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and operating room equipment
- Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care from pre-operative assessment through post-operative recovery
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status throughout surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technicians to optimize patient outcomes
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
- Document clinical observations and interventions with accuracy and detail
- Support facility safety and quality improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Active RN license in Texas or eligible for Texas licensure
- Minimum 2+ years of operating room nursing experience
- Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS highly valued
- Solid knowledge of intraoperative nursing standards and practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in high-acuity settings
- Ability to adapt to multiple surgical specialties
- Strong commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence
