Ventura MedStaff is seeking a dedicated Travel Licensed Social Worker (LSW) for a 13-week contract assignment in Monterey, CA, paying $2,659 to $2,859 per week. About the Role
As a Travel Licensed Social Worker with Ventura MedStaff, you'll deliver compassionate clinical social work services to patients and their families in the Del Rey Oaks and greater Monterey County area. This is a full-time, on-site position structured around a day schedule of five 8-hour shifts each week, giving you a consistent and predictable routine throughout the contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients' psychosocial needs and develop individualized care plans
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and emotional support to patients and families
- Coordinate discharge planning and connect patients with community resources and services
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and state regulations
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Social Worker (LSW) credential valid in California
- Availability to begin a 13-week travel assignment immediately
- Willingness to work a Monday-through-Friday daytime schedule (5 x 8-hour shifts)
- Strong interpersonal, assessment, and care-coordination skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to a new clinical environment as a travel professional
