About the Role
This Travel Hospice RN position with Fusion Medical Staffing is a full-time, 12-week travel assignment based at a facility in the Alexandria area of Rapides Parish, Louisiana. It's an ideal fit for an experienced registered nurse who wants to bring comfort, dignity, and skilled clinical care to hospice patients while exploring a new community on assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive, patient-centered hospice nursing care that prioritizes comfort and quality of life.
- Manage symptoms and pain through careful assessment, monitoring, and individualized care planning.
- Offer emotional reassurance and education to patients and their families during sensitive moments.
- Work closely with physicians, aides, and the wider interdisciplinary hospice team to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in line with facility and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Louisiana.
- Hands-on hospice, palliative, or end-of-life nursing experience.
- Willingness to relocate to the Tanglewood / Alexandria, Rapides Parish area for the full 12-week assignment.
- Strong communication skills and genuine compassion for patients and families.
- Ability to thrive within a collaborative, fast-moving travel healthcare environment.
