About the Role
You'll be the technical expert who validates customer needs, demonstrates solution capabilities, and builds confidence that our platforms solve real infrastructure challenges. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you bridge the gap between sophisticated technology and clear business value, accelerating sales cycles while ensuring customers make sound architectural decisions.
What You'll Do
- Lead technical discovery sessions to map customer infrastructure, constraints, and business objectives
- Build customized demonstrations that directly address customer requirements and concerns
- Develop proofs-of-concept and test implementations within customer environments
- Validate compatibility, performance, and integration points for proposed solutions
- Partner with sales leadership to overcome technical objections and advance opportunities
- Translate customer feedback into actionable insights for product and engineering teams
What We're Looking For
- Production experience writing or maintaining code in C or C++
- Strong foundation in Linux administration, deployment, and performance tuning
- Working knowledge of containerization technologies and Kubernetes
- Track record in presales engineering, solutions consulting, or customer-facing technical roles
- Ability to present technical concepts clearly to audiences with varying expertise levels
- Genuine interest in open-source software and cloud-native computing
