Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the architecture for orchestration and control systems, including workflow design, state management, and integration patterns
• Lead development efforts by reviewing designs, writing production-quality code where needed, and establishing best practices for maintainable orchestration logic
• Mentor engineers on technical approaches, code standards, and problem-solving techniques related to control and orchestration domains
• Coordinate cross-functional requirements gathering and translate them into clear technical specifications and implementation roadmaps
• Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and complexity issues within orchestration pipelines and control mechanisms
• Champion continuous improvement by evaluating tools, patterns, and processes that enhance orchestration efficiency and system observability
• Provide technical direction during planning and ensure alignment between implementation work and overall project objectives

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a technical lead or senior engineer delivering orchestration, workflow automation, or control-plane solutions
• Strong proficiency in designing and implementing distributed systems that coordinate services, jobs, or control flows
• Hands-on expertise with relevant programming languages, APIs, and orchestration tools commonly used in production environments
• Demonstrated ability to mentor team members, facilitate technical discussions, and drive consensus on architectural decisions
• Solid understanding of reliability patterns, error handling, observability, and scalable design principles for control systems
• Excellent collaboration skills and the capacity to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to varied stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience leading technical workstreams
