Teacher- Certified Long Term Substitute

North Slope Borough School District is seeking a dedicated, certified long-term substitute teacher to join our school community and support student success in the United States. As a full-time educator, you'll take on classroom leadership responsibilities while implementing proven instructional practices that engage learners and promote achievement.

About the Role

In this full-time teaching position, you will lead classroom instruction under the direction of the school principal and administrative team. You'll develop and maintain a positive, productive learning environment where students thrive academically and socially. This long-term substitute role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student development and school culture during an extended placement.

What You'll Do

• Design and deliver research-based lessons aligned with curriculum standards and student learning objectives
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom culture that encourages student engagement and achievement
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Manage classroom behavior and establish clear routines that support a positive learning environment
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom matters
• Maintain accurate student records and complete required documentation in a timely manner
• Collaborate with school staff to support school initiatives and student wellbeing
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to enhance student motivation and academic outcomes

What We're Looking For

• Valid teacher certification in your subject area or grade level
