What This Role Involves
The Systems Engineer will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our global network infrastructure. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of complex systems that ensure seamless operations across all AEG venues and events.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain advanced networking solutions to support live entertainment and sports events.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of our IT infrastructure through proactive monitoring and maintenance practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including venue management, event production, and technical operations to identify and resolve system issues.
- Participate in the development and testing of new technologies that can improve operational efficiency and user experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role within the technology industry.
- Proven track record of implementing and maintaining complex network infrastructure.
- Expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security practices.
- Familiarity with cloud services and virtualization technologies is highly desirable.
