Role Overview

As Survey Manager and Professional Land Surveyor at Boundary Zone, you'll manage daily surveying operations for our Crabtree Valley office within a growing Land Surveying Department. Boundary Zone is a multidisciplinary firm offering land surveying, engineering, and land planning services. In this role, you'll oversee project execution, lead surveying teams, and ensure quality work that meets client needs and professional standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage survey projects from initial client consultation through final deliverables
• Lead and coordinate field survey crews on property boundary, topographic, and engineering projects
• Conduct complex land surveys and apply professional surveying expertise to project solutions
• Maintain quality assurance across all surveying operations and deliverables
• Build and strengthen client relationships, responding to project inquiries and requirements
• Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and project timelines for multiple concurrent surveys

What We're Looking For

• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) credential or demonstrated progress toward North Carolina licensure
• Proven experience managing survey projects and leading field teams
• Strong technical knowledge of surveying equipment, methods, and software
• Excellent communication skills with both field staff and clients
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing deadlines
