About the Role

As a Housing Case Manager I at Dexter, you will deliver compassionate, trauma-informed support to program participants on their path to securing and sustaining safe, stable, permanent housing. Many of the people you serve face layered challenges — including mental health concerns, substance use disorders, chronic medical conditions, and recurring involvement with the justice system — and your steady guidance will help them navigate toward a more stable future. This is an on-site, full-time position based in Queen Anne, King County.

Key Responsibilities

• Build trusting, respectful relationships with individual participants using a trauma-informed approach.
• Complete intake conversations and ongoing assessments to understand each person's strengths, needs, and barriers.
• Develop and revise individualized service plans aimed at obtaining and retaining permanent housing.
• Connect participants with community resources for mental health, substance use treatment, and chronic health management.
• Coordinate with internal teams and outside partners to provide consistent, wraparound support.
• Maintain accurate, timely case notes and documentation.

Qualifications

• Genuine commitment to serving individuals experiencing housing instability and multiple barriers.
• Working knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and harm-reduction practices.
• Familiarity with community resources addressing mental health, substance use, and chronic health conditions.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Queen Anne, King County in a full-time capacity.
