Becker Morgan Group is seeking a detail-oriented Structural Designer to join our team in Salisbury, Maryland. If you enjoy translating engineering concepts into precise, build-ready designs, this full-time, on-site role offers the chance to contribute to a wide range of structural projects.
About the Role
As a Structural Designer at Becker Morgan Group, you will support routine structural engineering work across a variety of building systems. Working under the direction of a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.), you will help develop, draft, and refine designs while gaining hands-on exposure to real-world structures. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Salisbury, Maryland.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with structural engineering assignments for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood-frame structures under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.
- Produce accurate CAD and BIM drafting to bring engineering designs to life.
- Conduct site visits to inspect, assess, and measure existing building conditions.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure designs meet technical requirements and project standards.
Qualifications
- Strong personal organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency or growing experience with CAD/BIM drafting tools.
- A solid understanding of structural materials, including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood-frame construction.
- Willingness to perform field work, including on-site inspections and measurements of existing buildings.
- Ability to work effectively under the guidance of a licensed P.E. and within a collaborative team environment.
