About the Role
The Chadwick Center for Children and Families at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego is one of the largest hospital-based Children's Advocacy Centers and trauma treatment centers in the nation. As a Social Worker I/II, you will provide family-focused and trauma-informed services to children and adolescents who may have experienced or witnessed maltreatment, abuse, or violence.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions with clients
- Evaluate and assess the needs of clients and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Provide crisis intervention and support services as needed
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
Qualifications
- A master's degree in Social Work or a related field is required for the position of Social Worker II; a bachelor's degree with relevant experience may be considered for the position of Social Worker I
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license or eligible for licensure in California
- Experience working with children and families affected by trauma, abuse, or violence is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Prioritization of client welfare and confidentiality
