About the Role
As a Fire Sprinkler Fitter based in Baltimore, you will assemble, install, and service fire sprinkler and suppression systems across commercial, industrial, and residential job sites. This is a hands-on, full-time, on-site position that puts your trade expertise to work protecting property and lives every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, fit, and connect fire sprinkler piping, fittings, and suppression components according to approved drawings and code.
- Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipe to specification on a range of project sites.
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot fire sprinkler systems to confirm proper operation and compliance.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to keep existing life safety systems fully functional.
- Follow all safety standards, fire codes, and quality requirements throughout each installation.
- Coordinate with supervisors, fellow tradespeople, and clients to deliver work on schedule.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Fitter or in a closely related mechanical trade.
- Working knowledge of fire suppression systems, piping methods, and applicable fire protection codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
- Comfortable handling the physical demands of installation work, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to safety and quality craftsmanship.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites around the Baltimore area.
