Senior Manager, IT Commercial Data Management

Biogen is hiring a Senior Manager, IT Commercial Data Management to strengthen and scale data capabilities for its U.S. commercial organization. This full-time role is based in the United States and works closely with Enterprise IT and business stakeholders to deliver trusted, accessible data that powers analytical decision-making.

About the Role

As Senior Manager, IT Commercial Data Management, you will combine hands-on cloud data engineering with strategic product ownership. Acting as an IT Product Owner, you will oversee data-sharing and analytics tied to an alliance partnership, build new data products, and embed governance across therapeutic-area datasets. Your work directly equips U.S. analytical teams with insight into healthcare provider preferences, engagement, and channel effectiveness. This position requires the ability to work Eastern Standard Time hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Own data-sharing and analytics as IT Product Owner alongside an alliance partner.
• Develop deep subject-matter expertise in therapeutic-area data assets, including claims data.
• Establish and enforce data governance across the Biogen–alliance partnership.
• Maintain data quality, compliance, and access controls on therapeutic-area datasets.
• Surface insights into HCP preferences, engagement, channel effectiveness, and conversion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• 7+ years in data engineering, with strong Snowflake skills (native procedures, SQL, Python), data quality frameworks, star schema modeling, data product development, and Informatica IICS.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as ActiveBatch or Control-M.
• Solid grasp of specialty pharmacy and syndicated data (claims, Rx).
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Veeva CRM, Veeva Align, Veeva Network, and marketing sources like Google Analytics, websites, campaigns, and social platforms.
• Full SDLC experience and fluency in the SAFe Agile framework.
• Proven collaboration with offshore and nearshore teams across time zones, plus clear communication of technical topics to non-technical audiences.
• Preferred: Erwin or Dbschema modeling tools, Snowflake Cortex Analyst/Search and AI services, and Informatica Data Governance modules.
