Runpod, Inc. is hiring a remote Senior Procurement Officer (Supply, Cloud Infrastructure) to lead strategic sourcing and high-stakes negotiations for one of the fastest-growing AI infrastructure platforms in the United States. If you thrive on structuring complex, multi-million-dollar vendor deals, this remote role puts you at the center of how AI gets built and scaled.
About the Role
This is a remote, full-time position focused exclusively on procuring cloud infrastructure for Runpod — not SaaS or routine IT spend. You will own commercial strategy for agreements ranging from tens to hundreds of millions of dollars, demanding sharp legal judgment and financial discipline. Embedded within Engineering, you'll translate technical needs into vendor partnerships that keep pace with aggressive product timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end negotiation of large, complex contracts, optimizing payment schedules, cost structuring against cash flow, and credit-based discounts.
- Manage relationships with critical infrastructure suppliers to secure the strongest possible terms.
- Serve as the connection point between procurement and Legal — reviewing dense clauses and accelerating contract execution (requires working knowledge of contract law).
- Forecast spend, reduce supply chain risk, and pursue ongoing cost efficiency without slowing delivery (requires working-level FP&A skills).
- Partner closely with engineering and finance leadership to align sourcing with growth goals.
Qualifications
- Extensive, demonstrated experience running the full procurement lifecycle, especially negotiating enterprise-grade contracts.
- Strong commercial acumen: payment terms, capex versus cash flow, and value capture through credit discounting.
- Confidence reviewing complex legal language alongside counsel to protect company interests.
- A creative, problem-solving mindset for clearing supply bottlenecks and tough vendor dynamics.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Preferred: procurement experience in datacenter, cloud, networking, or AI; familiarity with modern procurement and ERP systems; remote-first startup background; and an advanced degree or certification such as CPSM or JD.
