About This Position
The California Pan-Ethnic Health Network (CPEHN) is seeking a full-time Senior Policy Coordinator. CPEHN is a statewide health policy organization focused on addressing racial and ethnic health disparities. The role involves working closely with communities of color across the state to elevate local voices and health issues to state and local policymakers.
Key Responsibilities
- Elevate community voices and health concerns to state and local policymakers
- Develop and implement policy strategies to address health disparities in communities of color
- Collaborate with diverse community stakeholders, including advocacy groups, healthcare providers, and government officials
- Analyze data and research to inform policy recommendations and advocacy efforts
- Write reports, briefs, and other materials for policymakers and the public
- Support CPEHN's overall mission by participating in team meetings and contributing to organizational goals
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in policy development or advocacy work with a focus on health issues affecting communities of color
- Strong understanding of public health policies, especially those related to racial and ethnic disparities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with community leaders and policymakers
- Experience in data analysis and research preferred
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications a plus
