Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team in Alexandra, Otago. As a key member of the laboratory staff, you will be responsible for conducting precise and reliable tests on soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt materials. Your role will also involve supporting the daily operations of the laboratory.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform accurate testing on various construction materials including soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt.
• Maintain a high level of precision and attention to detail in all laboratory work.
• Support the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a related field such as Civil Engineering, Geology, or Materials Science.
• Proven experience as a Laboratory Technician or similar role within the construction industry.
• A strong understanding of laboratory procedures and quality control methods.
• Familiarity with testing equipment and software used in the construction sector.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
