What This Role Involves

This Senior Independent AI Engineer / Architect opportunity with A.Team centers on delivering functional systems that serve real users and drive measurable results for ambitious organizations of every size. Join compact expert groups that shape live solutions instead of isolated experiments or basic interfaces. Engagements span LLM-enhanced products and processes, multi-agent designs with orchestration layers, retrieval evaluation and reliability stacks, enterprise-scale AI rollouts, net-new AI products, and high-volume machine learning platforms. You will partner directly with founders, technology chiefs, and product leads to influence both architecture decisions and final outcomes while enjoying typical rates of $120–$170 per hour and retaining every dollar earned.

What You'll Do

• Architect and ship production-grade large language model applications and supporting workflows that create lasting business value
• Build robust agent frameworks including coordination and orchestration components for complex task handling
• Establish retrieval pipelines, continuous evaluation tools, and reliability infrastructure that keep systems dependable under load
• Lead enterprise AI system deployments ensuring seamless integration and operational maturation
• Launch AI-native products from concept through full release and ongoing refinement
• Operate and refine machine learning platforms capable of supporting substantial user volumes
• Advise executive stakeholders on technical roadmaps while staying free of bidding wars, prospecting efforts, or public freelancer competition

Who We're Looking For

• Experienced practitioners who have already moved AI systems into live production environments and can translate cutting-edge techniques into practical commercial outcomes
• Professionals familiar with trade-offs that separate hype from shippable value, including individuals whose backgrounds may span AI architecture, core AI engineering, MLOps, deep learning, applied data science, machine learning engineering, AI research, staff-level AI focus, or founding roles with substantial AI depth
• Builders possessing a clear record of delivering complete, user-facing solutions rather than early-career profiles, candidates lacking production AI credentials, seekers of minor short-term tasks, or those concentrated mainly on lightweight wrappers and template work
