About the Role
An international mining company based in South Africa (nationwide) (nationwide) is seeking a Senior Geologist to join their team for an exciting long-term overseas assignment in Northern Chad. This role will be integral to the development of a major greenfield gold project, spanning from exploration through production phases. The position offers hands-on experience in both alluvial and hard rock environments.
Core Duties
- Conduct detailed geological surveys and analysis in support of project development.
- Assist in the identification and assessment of mineral resources, including gold deposits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
What You Bring
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in geological exploration and production, preferably in Africa.
- Proven track record in alluvial and hard rock geology.
