Senior Full Stack Engineer

Datavant, the trusted data collaboration platform for healthcare, is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Frankfort, Franklin County office. In this full-time role, you'll architect and deliver end-to-end solutions that empower providers, health plans, researchers, and life sciences companies to securely access, collaborate on, and activate the world's health data.

About the Role

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Datavant, you'll own the design and development of critical features on our healthcare data platform. Your work will span the entire technology stack, from backend services to frontend interfaces, building secure and compliant systems that enable organizations to unlock the potential of health data. You'll drive architectural decisions, mentor team members, and establish technical standards that support platform growth.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs that power healthcare data collaboration workflows
• Build responsive, user-centered frontend interfaces that make healthcare data secure and intuitive to access
• Ensure compliance and security standards across full-stack solutions in a regulated healthcare environment
• Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
• Lead architecture reviews, mentor junior engineers, and establish best practices for the engineering team
• Participate in code review and drive continuous improvement of platform infrastructure

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership
• Strong expertise in modern backend frameworks and languages (Python, Java, Node.js, Go, or similar)
• Solid proficiency with frontend technologies and frameworks (React, Vue, or comparable)
• Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable systems, databases, and distributed solutions
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance, data privacy regulations, or HIPAA-compliant systems (strongly preferred)
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with a collaborative, ownership-oriented mindset
