About the Role
As Senior Financial Coordinator at the University of Maryland, you will manage critical financial processes, oversee account reconciliations, and ensure accurate reporting across departmental budgets. What You'll Do
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports, statements, and transaction data with precision

- Maintain accurate records in accounting systems and databases, ensuring data integrity and compliance
- Process vendor payments, invoices, and expense documentation according to university policies
- Assist senior finance staff with research, analysis, and documentation of complex financial matters
- Perform routine administrative and clerical tasks supporting the finance department
- Respond to inquiries regarding budget status, transactions, and financial documentation
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in financial coordination, accounting, or related role
- Proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheets, and database systems
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial work
- Clear communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
