Senior Data Scientist, Responsible AI

You'll lead the development of AI systems where responsible design is central, not an afterthought. Working across product, engineering, and compliance teams, you'll embed fairness, explainability, and ethical guardrails into machine learning models that power decisions affecting thousands of users. What You'll Do

• Design machine learning models with rigorous bias detection, fairness metrics, and interpretability frameworks
• Conduct exploratory analysis and develop predictive systems that balance performance with ethical robustness
• Build and maintain evaluation tools to assess model fairness across demographic groups and use cases
• Partner with engineering and product teams to integrate responsible AI principles into production systems
• Document model assumptions, limitations, and ethical considerations for stakeholders at all levels
• Guide and mentor junior data scientists as we strengthen our responsible AI practice

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on data science experience, including machine learning model development and deployment
• Deep expertise in responsible AI, bias mitigation, fairness metrics, and model interpretability
• Fluency in Python, SQL, and data visualization platforms
• Track record of building and scaling machine learning systems in production environments
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Genuine commitment to ethical AI and staying current with emerging best practices
