We're hiring a Research Associate III at Thermo Fisher Scientific Pte. Ltd. in India (nationwide) (nationwide) on a full-time basis to lead independent research projects and drive evidence synthesis across our dynamic scientific research operations.
About the Role
As a Research Associate III, you'll take ownership of systematic literature review projects from conception through completion, working collaboratively with senior colleagues while managing multiple concurrent initiatives. Based in our India (nationwide) (nationwide) office, you'll operate on a standard Monday through Friday schedule, combining deep analytical rigour with cross-functional project leadership. The role includes potential line management responsibilities, depending on your experience and development.
Responsibilities
- Direct systematic literature reviews and evidence syntheses, including scoping research questions and defining objectives aligned with study goals
- Design and execute comprehensive literature searches using PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, and grey literature sources; build and validate search algorithms for scientific databases
- Develop and apply inclusion and exclusion criteria following the PICOS framework throughout abstract and full-text screening phases
- Oversee the screening process, validate data abstraction workflows, and finalise analysis-ready datasets
- Prepare study attrition documentation, synthesise findings into tables and figures, and draft key sections of deliverables including reports, protocols, and statistical analysis plans
- Contribute to abstract and manuscript preparation for dissemination
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables; prepare scopes of work and project proposals
- Coordinate with clients through email, phone, and in-person meetings; own day-to-day stakeholder communication
- Delegate and review tasks completed by junior team members
- Participate in cross-departmental consulting on modelling, simulation, and real-world evidence initiatives
- Support recruitment, training, and line management activities as appropriate
What We're Looking For
- A PhD in health sciences, economics, biology, natural sciences, or a closely related discipline with demonstrable research experience; alternatively, a Master's degree with substantial relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree with extensive practical background in research
- Established expertise in systematic literature review methodology within health economics or health services research; network meta-analysis experience is advantageous but not required
- Strong grasp of research principles and proven ability to design and execute complex research studies independently
- Proficiency with diverse software platforms—both proprietary and commercial tools—for data management and analysis
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfort presenting findings to diverse audiences
- Self-directed work style requiring minimal supervision; excellent time management and ability to juggle shifting priorities
- Resilience under pressure and demonstrated multitasking capability
- Track record of reliable, consistent attendance
- Commercial research experience in a comparable setting is highly valued but not prerequisite
