Accountant, Property Accounting

Join BXP's Finance team as an Accountant supporting our property accounting operations in San Francisco's Financial District. This full-time position offers the opportunity to develop your accounting expertise while partnering with experienced Senior Accountants on critical financial functions for our real estate portfolio.

About the Role

As a Property Accountant at BXP, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records across our properties. Working closely with Senior Accountants, you'll handle a variety of day-to-day accounting responsibilities that directly support our business operations and financial reporting.

What You'll Do

• Process tenant and customer billings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Support accounts receivable functions by tracking collections and resolving outstanding issues
• Review and process accounts payable invoices according to company policy
• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger records
• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close procedures
• Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports
• Handle routine customer and accounting inquiries from property stakeholders
• Reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies for resolution

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Professional communication and customer service mindset
• Willingness to learn and grow within a structured accounting environment
• Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience is a plus
