What This Role Involves

In this role, you will be responsible for creating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB standards. You will manage ongoing bookkeeping tasks including general ledger, creditors, debtors, and fixed asset accounting. Your duties will also include calculating provisions and boundaries (ARAP / PRAP), reconciling accounts, resolving discrepancies, performing balance sheet and valuation processes, preparing sales tax pre-filing documents, and other tax filings. You will prepare documentation for auditors, tax advisors, and authorities. You'll contribute to the optimization and further development of accounting procedures, provide technical support and be a point of contact for internal departments and external partners. Additionally, you will participate in projects related to finance and accounting (e.g., introduction of AI tools, digitalization, system transitions) and lead a small accounting team. Treasury and cash flow management are also part of your responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a talented individual with a successful degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent. Previous experience as an accountant is highly desirable. You should have excellent knowledge of financial reporting standards and accounting principles. Proficiency in German and English is essential, while fluency in additional languages would be advantageous. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are crucial. Experience with treasury management and cash flow control is also required.
