The Opportunity

This Seasonal Kitchen Assistant role with Cscgeneration-2 in North Bethesda, Maryland centers on building memorable culinary moments that inspire guests while supporting the team behind premium kitchen products and hands-on learning sessions. You bring energy for hospitality and collaboration so every class runs smoothly and the overall guest focused standard of excellence stays strong from setup to finish.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Help chefs prepare ingredients, arrange items ahead of sessions, and complete cleanup so classes operate without interruption
• Create welcoming educational interactions on the sales floor and in the kitchen that encourage guests to return and share positive comments
• Stay informed on featured items through available learning resources and use that knowledge when speaking with guests
• Wash and sanitize dishes plus equipment quickly while restocking tools and supplies to keep the workspace ready
• Support class related enrollment success and contribute toward store goals tracked by sales volume, average transaction size, and conversion measures
• Follow food safety rules, health codes, and safe equipment practices while monitoring inventory to limit loss and manage costs
• Handle beer, wine, or liquor when needed under local alcohol rules and company guidelines, including age checks
• Keep the store clean and secure, report maintenance issues promptly, log hours accurately, and follow every operational policy

What You Bring

• Age 16 or older at start of employment
• Preferred one year of retail sales experience plus preferred one year of food prep or kitchen operations work
• Valid Food Handlers Certification
• Clear communication, problem solving, and decision making strengths
• Genuine interest in community connection and high quality guest service
• Preferred comfort with Microsoft Office Suite and retail point of sale tools
• Ability to stand up to four hours, lift or move items to 50 pounds, climb ladders, bend, reach, grasp tools for chopping or stirring, and use POS hardware
• Ready availability for a flexible 12 to 16 hours per week that can cover nights, weekends, and holidays plus reliable attendance that adjusts with class demand
• Comfort working near open flames, hot surfaces, shifting temperatures, and food allergens
