About the Role
This position is a full-time opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in oncology. The role involves providing comprehensive care to patients with various types of cancer, including diagnosis, treatment, and support services. This 13-week assignment will commence on August 18, 2026, and conclude on November 17, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient conditions and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer chemotherapy and other medications as prescribed by a physician.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families, addressing concerns related to diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or issues to the healthcare team promptly.
- Participate in ongoing education and training programs to stay current with advancements in oncology care.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Oregon.
- Specialty certification in Oncology Nursing preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an oncology setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
