Your Responsibilities

  • Operate specialized outdoor equipment including large trucks, UTVs, brush cutters, cutting tools, and chainsaws while prioritizing safety at all times
  • Navigate sites and record activities via GPS mapping tools
  • Prepare and apply herbicides with backpack and hand sprayers to control unwanted vegetation
  • Recognize both native and non-native plant varieties to shape daily decisions
  • Support invasive species management plans that restore ecosystem health
  • Execute planting and seeding methods that revitalize project areas
  • Contribute to vegetation checks, stream upkeep, and additional field support tasks
  • Flag equipment service needs and complete basic maintenance

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Dependable transportation to reach the field office
  • Genuine enthusiasm for natural resources and outdoor settings
  • Physical and mental readiness for extended outdoor shifts in every weather condition
  • Capacity to lift 50 pounds and traverse streams, wetlands, slopes, and uneven ground
  • Preferred: one or more years of ecological restoration or natural resources field work
  • Preferred: ability to interpret project plans, details, and specifications
  • Preferred: commercial pesticide technician or apprentice license in relevant categories
  • Preferred: solid knowledge of native and invasive plants plus one or more years of herbicide mixing and application experience.
