Homegoods is hiring a Retail Department Coordinator for our New Braunfels, Comal County store. This is a full-time position on a team that's reshaping how customers discover affordable home furnishings and décor. You'll work alongside experienced retail professionals, taking ownership of department operations and helping deliver the Homegoods shopping experience every customer deserves.
About the Role
As a Retail Department Coordinator, you're the backbone of your department's daily success. You'll bridge the gap between store leadership and your team, ensuring that operations run smoothly, displays showcase merchandise effectively, and customers find what they need. This role combines hands-on coordination with team support to keep your department organized, stocked, and ready to serve.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate daily department operations and maintain merchandising standards
- Support team members and ensure consistent customer service across your area
- Track inventory levels and communicate restocking needs
- Help set up and maintain attractive floor displays that highlight new and featured items
- Assist with price audits, markdowns, and promotional signage
- Respond to customer questions and resolve issues professionally
- Follow company policies and safety procedures
- Support opening and closing procedures as scheduled
What We're Looking For
- Previous retail experience, ideally in a coordinating or supervisory capacity
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a small team or group of associates
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable with basic math and POS systems
- Reliability and flexibility with scheduling, including weekend availability
- A commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment
