About the Role
As a Respiratory Therapist CRT with HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital, you'll provide essential respiratory care across our hospital's clinical settings. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on patient outcomes while working alongside a dedicated medical team.
What You'll Do
- Assess and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions
- Operate and monitor mechanical ventilation systems and adjust settings based on patient response
- Administer inhaled medications, aerosol therapies, and supplemental oxygen under physician orders
- Collect and analyze arterial blood gas samples to guide clinical treatment decisions
- Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and self-management strategies
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain thorough documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and responses
- Provide rapid respiratory support during code blue and emergency situations
What We're Looking For
- Current CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) credential
- Florida respiratory therapist license or eligibility to obtain one
- Associate degree or higher in respiratory care or respiratory therapy
- Strong clinical assessment, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Dedication to delivering safe, patient-centered care
- Ability to perform in a dynamic hospital environment
