Remote Contract Specialist III at Planate Management Group – perform contract oversight from anywhere while supporting the Phoenix, Maricopa County operations team.
About the Role
As a Contract Specialist III, you will manage the full lifecycle of government and commercial contracts, ensuring compliance, accurate documentation, and timely execution. This position partners with project managers, finance, and legal teams to mitigate risk and drive successful program delivery for Planate Management Group’s diverse portfolio.
What You'll Do
- Review, draft, and negotiate contract terms, modifications, and closeout documents
- Maintain contract databases, track key dates, and monitor performance milestones
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather required information and ensure adherence to federal acquisition regulations
- Prepare status reports, audit trails, and compliance documentation for internal and external reviews
- Support the resolution of contract disputes and assist with claim preparation when needed
- Provide guidance on best practices for contract administration to junior staff and project leads
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, contract management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible contract administration experience, preferably within government contracting
- Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other applicable regulatory frameworks
- Proficiency with contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating across time zones
- SDVOSB or veteran preference is a plus but not required
