Sentara Hospitals is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a part-time position at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA, where you will help patients and the community achieve better health through evidence-based nutrition care.
About the Role
This part-time Registered Dietitian role is based on-site at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA. The standard schedule covers Mondays and Wednesdays, with an occasional Friday, working first-shift hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You will deliver clinical nutrition expertise across a broad range of patient needs while representing Sentara Hospitals in the surrounding community.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nutrition assessments for patients living with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
- Provide one-on-one and group nutrition counseling tailored to individual health goals.
- Apply culinary nutrition principles to support practical, patient-centered care.
- Represent Sentara Hospitals at health fairs and other community outreach and wellness events.
Qualifications
- Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian.
- Working knowledge of medical nutrition therapy for acute and chronic disease states.
- Strong communication skills suited to both individual and group counseling settings.
- Availability for the first-shift, part-time schedule described above in Virginia Beach, VA.
