About the Role
Mesilla Valley Transportation is actively hiring Class-A CDL drivers for a regional dedicated account. As a Regional Truck Driver, you'll operate a dry van and be responsible for transporting freight across your assigned territory. This position provides consistent work based in Athens, allowing for more predictable scheduling and time management. You'll be expected to maintain the highest standards of safety and on-time delivery performance that our clients depend on.
What You'll Do
- Operate a dry van on regional routes from your dedicated Athens-based account
- Transport freight safely and efficiently, meeting delivery deadlines consistently
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
- Maintain accurate logbooks and comply with all DOT regulations
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route status and any challenges
- Uphold rigorous safety standards to protect yourself, freight, and the public
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class-A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) with a clean driving record
- Minimum six months of truck driving experience
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and on-time performance
- Ability to work independently and manage your schedule responsibly
