What You'll Do
- Develop and execute merchandising plans for beef, poultry, pork, and specialty protein categories within your region
- Analyze sales trends, pricing data, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities and optimize product mix
- Build and maintain relationships with protein suppliers and partners to secure competitive pricing and product innovation
- Collaborate with territory managers to implement promotional campaigns and category training
- Monitor inventory levels and product freshness standards to ensure operational efficiency
- Present regional performance updates and recommendations to senior merchandising leadership
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of merchandising, category management, or sales experience in food service or related distribution
- Deep knowledge of protein products, sourcing, and foodservice market dynamics
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret sales data and identify actionable insights
- Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple priorities
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, supply chain management, or related field preferred
- Willingness to travel within your assigned region as needed
