About the Role

What You'll Do

  • Direct disaster response operations and coordinate emergency relief efforts during activations

  • Recruit, train, and supervise disaster relief volunteers across the region
  • Build and maintain partnerships with local agencies, nonprofits, and government entities
  • Assess community needs and allocate Red Cross resources effectively
  • Provide leadership to response teams and ensure consistent service delivery
  • Maintain disaster readiness through planning, equipment management, and staff development
  • Document operations and report on program outcomes and impact metrics

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in emergency management, disaster response, or related humanitarian field work
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex, time-sensitive operations
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across diverse communities
  • Knowledge of disaster preparedness frameworks and emergency protocols
  • Capacity to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends during emergencies
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the region
