Providence Mission Hospital Mission Viejo is hiring a full-time Radiology - Nuclear Medicine Tech in Mission Viejo, California. This position offers the opportunity to advance your nuclear medicine career while providing essential diagnostic imaging services to patients in a fast-paced hospital setting.
About the Role
As a Radiology - Nuclear Medicine Tech with a minimum of 1–2 years of experience, you'll be a critical member of our diagnostic imaging department. You'll perform nuclear medicine procedures, operate specialized imaging equipment, and collaborate with radiologists to deliver accurate diagnostic care to the patients we serve.
What You'll Do
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients following physician orders and established protocols
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and SPECT systems
- Prepare and assay radiopharmaceuticals according to regulatory standards and quality control measures
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety, comfort, and optimal imaging outcomes
- Maintain detailed, accurate records of all nuclear medicine procedures and patient information
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and clinical staff to deliver quality patient care
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and radiation protection protocols
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1–2 years of nuclear medicine technology experience
- Current Nuclear Medicine Technology certification or certification eligibility
- Valid state licensure as required for practice
- Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals, human anatomy, and physiology
- Excellent patient care and interpersonal communication skills
- Attention to detail and demonstrated commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a clinical team environment
