About the Role

This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist supporting Radiology and Imaging services in Los Alamitos, CA. The position follows a 5x8 day schedule, with shifts running from 07:00 to 15:00 (please confirm exact shift details with your recruiter). It is an on-site, full-time opportunity — this role is not remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceutical doses in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging studies and operate gamma cameras and related diagnostic equipment.
  • Position patients accurately and explain procedures to ensure comfort and high-quality results.
  • Maintain radiation safety practices and proper handling of radioactive materials.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and the imaging team to deliver timely, accurate diagnostic data.

Qualifications

  • Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with applicable state licensure as required.
  • Hands-on experience in a Radiology or Imaging setting performing nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Working knowledge of radiation safety protocols and imaging equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, clear communication skills, and the flexibility expected of a travel assignment.
  • Availability to work the scheduled 5x8 day shift on-site in Los Alamitos, Orange County.
