Quality Assurance Inspector

Aerotek is hiring a Full‑Time Quality Assurance Inspector for its Suwanee, Gwinnett County facility at an hourly rate of $22‑$23.

About the Role

This entry‑level position focuses on ensuring printed circuit board assemblies meet strict quality standards before they move to the next production stage. The inspector works closely with surface‑mount technology operators and supervisory staff to detect issues early and keep the line running smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Examine PCB assemblies for defects using IPC‑A‑610 criteria and flag any non‑conformances.
• Communicate inspection results to SMT operators and management in a clear, timely manner.
• Maintain accurate logs of all inspections, rework activities, and disposition decisions.
• Verify that inspected assemblies follow the correct routing through the production flow.
• Operate the Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) system to support manual checks and increase throughput.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements based on inspection data.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics or manufacturing is a plus.
• Basic understanding of IPC‑A‑610 standards or willingness to learn on the job.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written work instructions.
• Good communication skills for relaying findings to teammates and supervisors.
• Comfort working with inspection equipment such as AOI machines and basic hand tools.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle small components safely.
• Reliable, punctual, and eager to contribute to a team‑oriented environment.
