Program Manager, Energy

Codeword is seeking a Program Manager for its Energy practice to lead integrated communications programs for our client roster of major brands. Based in the US, you'll coordinate strategy, creative execution, and team delivery on high-impact initiatives that shape organizational communications in the energy sector.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity to manage complex communications programs at a strategic content and communications agency. You'll oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of integrated campaigns and experiences for energy-focused clients. Working across Codeword's network of writers, designers, strategists, videographers, and PR professionals, you'll ensure seamless delivery, maintain stakeholder alignment, and drive results from strategy through launch.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end program timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables for energy-sector communications initiatives
• Coordinate with strategy, creative, production, and client-facing teams to ensure aligned execution across all channels
• Develop program briefs, project plans, and status reports; track progress and identify risks early
• Serve as primary contact for assigned clients, translating their business objectives into actionable communication strategies
• Monitor program performance, gather insights, and recommend optimizations to improve campaign impact
• Support business development and new client onboarding by scoping work and building proposals

Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience in communications, marketing, PR, or a related agency environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent programs with competing priorities and deadlines
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with energy, sustainability, or B2B communications a plus; willingness to develop sector expertise
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools; knowledge of CMS, design, or video production software beneficial
