About the Role
As a Principal HPC Software Engineer, you'll lead the design, development, and optimization of critical high-performance computing systems. This is a hands-on technical leadership position where you'll influence architecture decisions, mentor engineering talent, and drive performance innovation that directly impacts our mission.
What You'll Do
- Architect and develop software solutions for high-performance computing environments
- Optimize algorithms and systems for speed, scalability, and resource efficiency
- Lead technical strategy and provide mentorship to engineering teams
- Collaborate across departments to translate complex computational requirements into elegant implementations
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and best practices that elevate team output
What We're Looking For
- Proven expertise in high-performance computing software development and optimization
- Strong proficiency in systems-level programming languages (C++, C, or equivalent)
- Experience with parallel computing, GPU acceleration, or distributed systems
- Demonstrated leadership ability and success mentoring technical teams
- Advanced problem-solving skills and deep understanding of computer architecture
