About the Role

As an Associate Principal Resident Engineer at Dragos, you'll be embedded with a key customer in Houston, acting as the onsite technical authority for the Dragos Platform. This full-time, hybrid position places you directly inside industrial environments, where you'll lead planning, deployment, tuning, and continuous optimization to deliver dependable security coverage across ICS/OT systems. You'll be the customer's go-to partner for rollout, troubleshooting, and long-term platform adoption, helping them harden and sustain the protection of essential infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside Dragos Sales and Solution Architect teams to map customer use cases, success metrics, and platform objectives.
• Advise client teams on network design, sensor placement, and integrations, then plan and execute complete deployments, upgrades, patches, and configuration updates.
• Tune, monitor, and refine the Dragos Platform to hit agreed goals and maintain uninterrupted availability.
• Create content, establish core workflows, and deliver break/fix support, owning escalations when they arise.
• Lead knowledge transfer, training sessions, and new-feature walkthroughs for stakeholders, while keeping processes well documented.
• Sustain client relationships by gathering feature feedback, sharing roadmap updates, and spotting opportunities for additional Dragos products and services.
• Partner with internal teams such as Intel and Threat Hunting to drive complete, high-value customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Residence within reasonable commuting range of Houston, Texas, and readiness for a hybrid schedule with regular onsite work at customer sites.
• 5+ years of hands-on ICS/OT cybersecurity experience.
• Strong networking foundation, including IP networks, the OSI and Purdue models, and ICS protocols.
• Proficiency with Linux command line, Docker, scripting (Python, shell, and similar), SIEMs, and the ELK stack.
• Familiarity with both on-premise and cloud enterprise software, plus the ability to juggle multiple projects and stakeholders.
• A customer-first mindset backed by excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
