Responsibilities

- Order laboratory studies, imaging, and other diagnostics; interpret results; and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Enter clear orders, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the electronic health record to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and post-hospital follow-up while coordinating with nurses, specialists, and case managers.
- Respond to clinical changes during shifts, participate in team rounds, and help streamline hospitalist workflows for efficient patient throughput.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program with a master's degree or equivalent.
- Current NCCPA certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Valid Kentucky Physician Assistant license or eligibility to obtain licensure promptly.
- Demonstrated clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to function effectively within a hospitalist team.
- Prior exposure to inpatient medicine, hospitalist services, or acute-care settings is advantageous for this Physician Assistant - Hospitalists opening.
