Physical Therapist

Rusk Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliation of Encompass Health and MU Health Care, is hiring a Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team in Gilliam, Saline County. This is a part-time position where you'll deliver patient-centered care and witness meaningful progress in your clients' recovery journeys.

About the Role

As a Physical Therapist at our Gilliam facility, you'll evaluate and treat patients recovering from injury, illness, or surgery. You'll use your clinical expertise to design individualized rehabilitation programs, work alongside a collaborative care team, and help patients regain mobility, strength, and independence. This role offers the flexibility of part-time scheduling while making a direct, measurable impact on patient outcomes.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual goals
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities to improve function and reduce pain
• Monitor patient progress, adjust interventions, and document outcomes in medical records
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate patient care
• Maintain current knowledge of best practices in physical therapy and rehabilitation

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapy license in the state of employment
• Master's degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development
