The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Permit Project Manager to join our team in Juno Beach, Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and facilitating the permitting process for renewable energy facilities, including solar, wind, battery energy storage, and associated transmission and substation infrastructure. This role involves working directly with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to obtain all necessary permits required for the build and operation of these facilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and facilitate the permitting process for renewable energy projects
- Work closely with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to secure all necessary permits
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to renewable energy facilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project timelines and permit schedules
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth permitting process
- Prepare and submit required documentation for permit applications
- Monitor and report on the status of permits throughout the permitting process
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, specifically with renewable energy projects
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex permitting processes
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to renewable energy facilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with AHJs and other stakeholders
- Proficient in project management software and tools
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field is required
- PMP certification is preferred but not mandatory
