About the Role
Fires Services Queensland (FSQ) is currently seeking skilled and motivated Passive Fire Service Technicians to join our growing team. As a Passive Fire Service Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, rectifications, installations, call-outs, and other tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of passive fire protection systems
- Performing repairs and rectifications to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Installing new passive fire protection systems in accordance with design specifications
- Responding to emergency call-outs promptly and effectively
- Maintaining accurate records of all work performed and inspections conducted
- Working closely with other team members, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Passive Fire Service Technician or similar role
- Demonstrated knowledge of passive fire protection systems and relevant regulations
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and team members
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential for this role
- Possess a positive attitude and willingness to work in various environments including indoor and outdoor settings, sometimes at height
