About the Role
As a Part-time Teacher Assistant at St. Paul Learning Center, you will work alongside lead teachers to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive classroom. This is a part-time, non-exempt (hourly) position based in Balcones Heights, Bexar County, reporting to the Center Director and Pastor. It is an on-site role rather than a remote one, placing you directly with the children and families you serve each day.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson delivery
- Help supervise and engage children to ensure their safety and well-being
- Support a positive, faith-based learning atmosphere aligned with the center's mission
- Prepare materials and help maintain an orderly, clean classroom setting
- Communicate respectfully with students, parents, and fellow staff members
Qualifications
- Genuine interest in working with and caring for young children
- Reliability, patience, and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to support a Catholic, faith-centered educational environment
- Ability to follow direction from the Director and lead teaching staff
